These meetings and your ideas are critically important for giving legitimacy to our Plan findings for the Watershed, as finalized and recommended by our esteemed contractor Biohabitats, when bringing to both city and county government officials and others.

P. S. In a directly related effort, FTJF just wrote the Executive Director of the Water Services Administration of the Maryland Department of the Environment requesting that the 2012 Jones Falls Sewershed (JFS) Repair, Replacement and Rehabilitation Plan (SRRR) be updated, the $10 million Lake Roland Sewer Rehabilitation project be added to the updated JFS SRRR, and that the 2021 JFS Performance Assessment also be updated. As FTJF President Sandy Sparks says in her letter from the Board: “The evidence of inadequate sewers in the Jones Falls Interceptor and other tributaries that flow into Lake Roland and downstream Jones Fall to the Inner Harbor is ever more compelling with sudden torrential rainstorms overwhelming waterways and the storm water system.” Click here to read the letter.
